Bissett Wins in Corridor Inc. Poll

Edgewater, MD, Aug. 14, 2006 -- Phil Bissett came out on top in the Anne Arundel County executive's race in Corridor Inc. newsmagazine's recent poll.

The August issue shows that 60 percent of poll respondents voted for Republicans, with Mr. Bissett capturing 22 percent of those votes and Dave Boschert and John Leopold capturing 18 and 15 percent respectively.

Poll highlights also showed Gov. Ehrlich ahead in responses from Anne Arundel and Howard county citizens, with 55 percent of the votes to Martin O'Malley's 40 percent.

The online poll was conducted July 11 – 19. It was not scientific. Respondents could cross both party and county lines in casting their votes.

Corridor Inc. is a business and political newsmagazine focusing on the Baltimore-Washington corridor, primarily Anne Arundel, Howard, Montgomery and Prince George's counties. It made its debut in Feb. 2006.
