REPUBLICAN REMINDER
Primary Election
September 12, 2006

Letter of Endorsement from Caroline Klocko

To the Voters of Anne Arundel County:

The primary election is quickly approaching, and how you spend your precious vote is going to determine what the future holds for Anne Arundel County. The 7th District of Anne Arundel County has a history of electing strong leaders who ensure proper development that retains the area’s rural charm. As the county continues to develop in the coming years it is imperative that we elect leaders that will make effective decisions for both the present and the future. I know you're committed to this community and to working toward a brighter tomorrow, that's why I want to share with you my reasons for supporting Phil Bissett for Anne Arundel County executive.

 A Proven Community Leader

Phil's real-life experiences, as a small business owner, manager, administrator, and executive-level director, give him a solid background for decision-making in a job that affects the daily lives of each citizen of Anne Arundel County.

  • Phil represented District 30 in the Maryland House of Delegates from 1991 through 1998 where he worked to hold the line on taxes and strengthen public safety laws.
  • He became the youngest-ever and first Republican to chair the Anne Arundel County delegation.
  • In 2003, Phil was appointed by Governor Ehrlich to serve as director of the MARC train system.

 Hometown Family Man

Phil knows that the foundation for success in life is rooted in family. We can trust Phil to make every decision as county executive always guided by what's in the best interest of Anne Arundel County families.

  • Phil’s three sons attend Anne Arundel County public schools.
  • He has been a longtime coach for the Mayo Athletic Association.
  • He has served as a member of the Citizen’s Advisory Council and PTO at his sons’ schools.

We Need Phil’s Leadership as County Executive

As county executive, Phil’s goal is to bring people together in a spirit of cooperation and teamwork to solve today's problems and develop a pro-active plan for a successful future. While Phil values teamwork, he also knows how to make decisions and take action. As county executive, we can count on Phil Bissett to get the job done.

Your Vote Counts!

The Republican primary is just around the corner on September 12. I urge you to critically think about issues that will shape the future of Anne Arundel County and who is the best candidate to lead us in these decisions. Phil's web site (www.PhilBissett.com) clearly outlines his views on education, public safety, economic development, and environmental protection. Like me, I think you'll find that Phil's real-life experience and common sense leadership are what we need to move Anne Arundel County forward.

I encourage you to consider contributing to Phil's campaign and invite you to join me in casting your vote for Phil Bissett for Anne Arundel County executive.  The future is in our hands.

Sincerely,
Caroline Klocko
